Perks of being a Pilot

Earning your pilot license is like joining a secret club with admission to freedom and adventure.

Many airports have a Fixed Base Operation (FBO for short).  The FBO caters to pilots and provides fuel services, food orders, free courtesy car usage, drinks, snacks, rental car services for longer stays, restaurant recommendations, local attraction information, lounge area, meeting rooms, pilot supplies, and more.

Some airports have restaurants located on the field, and those that don't have restaurants nearby which are accessible via the free courtesy car provided by the FBO.

Camping will never be the same after you've flown into a small airport with pilot campgrounds located on site.

Scenic flights, whale watching from above, Fourth of July fireworks from the air, fly-ins with other pilots, day-trips to visit family and friends, weekend getaways to golfing, shopping and resorts in a matter of hours, and island adventures such as the San Juans, Catalina, or Victoria become readily accessible, and so much more!

In addition, you can continue learning more and more skills as a pilot and obtain additional ratings which will be added onto your private pilot certificate.  Ratings such as Intrument flying, multi-engine, and commercial.  Endorsements such as tail-wheel, complex, high horsepower and float planes.
